Doug Wilson’s Response to Riley, Taylor Marshall and Justification

Our ISP is having a hard day today. We lose our connectivity every few minutes, and maintain it only erratically. So, that may impact the DL this afternoon. Right now, we, just like the God of Open Theism, do not know what the future holds. So if you try connecting up at 4pm MST and there’s nothing there, you’ll know

Responding to Rome Including a Review of Indulgentiarum Doctrina
Took a few minutes to look at the new Obscurity of Scripture book and its two references to me, which led to a discussion of Jason Stellman, and then on to the document Indulgentiarum Doctrina. Finished up the program with a warning about legislation being introduced in California, Washington, and Minnesota, giving the State the power to take away your children so as to mutilate them for life. Yes, I’m serious. The evil insanity knows no bounds.

Stockholm Syndrome and Masks, and Bridled Access to the Scriptures?
James White, April 19, 2022April 19, 2022, Pastoral Theology, Personal, Post-Evangelicalism, Reformed Baptist Issues, Road Trip, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters, Thomism We were live from Moscow, Idaho today on a Road Trip Dividing Line. Talked a bit about what’s going on up here, talked a bit about the lifting of mask mandates on US flights, and the reality that honestly, folks, the tyrants who mandated them have not gone anywhere, they are just gearing up for the next round. Then we started looking at statements being made by Reformed Baptists concerning the relationship of philosophical constructs and the inspired Scriptures. Some really troubling material to cover today. As I said on the program, the straw-men will be coming thick and heavy on this one, and as Rich as read me some of the memes already posted, I was correct. It is like there are many who simply have no ears to hear. In any case, important considerations today.

Reformed Thomists?
James White, March 1, 2022March 1, 2022, Church Fathers, Church History, General Apologetics, Reformed Baptist Issues, Roman Catholicism, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters Should evangelicals really agree with about 88% of Thomas Aquinas’ Summa? Well, that is what was claimed in a recent article in the Master’s Seminary Journal, so today we tackled that subject, hopefully in a respectful and brotherly fashion. I had intended to get to the Hess/Pallmann pseudo-review, but will have to hold that off till the next program. I should have realized this topic would take too long! But, hopefully, a lot to think about today.
