Social Justice and The Gospel
A small group of brothers in Christ broke the internet recently with the release of a statement addressing their concerns “that values borrowed from secular culture are currently undermining Scripture in the areas of race and ethnicity, manhood and womanhood, and human sexuality.” The Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel was released with initial signatories like Tom Ascol, John MacArthur, James White, Josh Buice, and many others. The response has been explosive and divisive, and Joe and Jimmy got a lot of requests to address the statement. Do they generally agree with the content of the statement? Could they sign it? Will they sign it? What problems do they have with the statement? And, Joe and Jimmy suggest three ways we can all respond to the statement, whether we agree or disagree? Plus, Jimmy has a cold and coughs over the whole episode.
