In Hosea 11:1, where it says, “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son,” is it referring to Jesus or Israel? I have heard pastors argue for both interpretations. It seems that if all of these Old Testament texts were only about Jesus than the Israelites in the Old Testament would not have actually known what they were about. What do you think?
