I know that some Christians are set on making America a Christian nation, but shouldn’t we want America to be open to all religions, and isn’t this better for the advancement of the gospel if a mission field comes to us? 3. I go to a seminary and we are supposed to celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday. Is that correct? Does it still apply to us or was God just talking to the Israelites the Sabbath that supposed to be on Saturday? 4. There are passages that teach that God is sovereign and others that teach we are responsible and active. My question is, how does God’s providence and human responsibility work together in our lives? 5. Can fear of hell be used as a good motivation to holiness or should we only be motivated by grace?

Is the Law of God and the Law of Moses the Same Thing?

Was the difference David’s heart and is that why God accepts some of us today and will reject others in the judgment? 4. If I was counting days between good Friday and resurrection Sunday, I’m only counting 2 days instead of 3. Am I missing something here about how Jews would have counted days or am I overthinking this here? 5. Does the Old Covenant offer a different way of salvation from the New Covenant? Are Jews today supposed to keep the Old Covenant while Christians are to keep the New Covenant? 6. The Old Testament says no one has ever seen God at any time. How can it also be true that to have seen Jesus is to see the Father? I’m struggling with apologetically explaining how both can be true.

Can you get this little by little or is it like a real birth that happens all at once? 6. Genesis 1:26 says that Adam was to “have dominion over creation.” Is this still true today?

He suggested that I attend a world religions class so that I could gain a better understanding of world religions and that while he is a Christian, if someone practices another religion that shouldn’t make a difference, that basically, it’s going to be okay because that is the religion they know and it’s how they relate to God. I mentioned the calling of the great commission, and he said that the call to share the gospel with others was misunderstood on my part and that Jesus would respect different faith traditions. I would love some feedback for future conversations with this good friend. 4. What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? 5. How can youth ministers encourage our youth to read the Bible? What do you think youth need to know that might inspire them to read it?

Did Jesus Go to Hell Before His Resurrection?

How should we understand this? 4. Isaiah 6:9 cannot be referring to Jesus when it says, ‘Everlasting Father.’ I’m confused why Isaiah is applying being the Father to Jesus? If Jesus and the Father are distinct persons how does this fit? 5. Is it fair to say that Israel was the Old Testament church? I have heard you say something like this before, but shouldn’t we keep Judaism and Christianity separate?​
