Doesn’t a lack of having assurance help us to sate motivated to do good works? 4. In John 14:27 Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” But in Matthew 10:34 Jesus says, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth.
