Why Do the Wicked Prosper?
Episode 274 | Dr. Michael Horton and Adriel Sanchez answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com Key questions answered in today’s show: 1. Is there such thing as coincidence, chance or luck? Or is God in control of even the smallest things in our life? 2. I’ve been listening to your program for a while and I had a question about some of the imagery the Bible has about believers. Verses like Romans 8:15 call us adopted sons of God while in chapter 1 of the same book and other places we are bondservants/slaves of God being bought from slavery to sin. How do these two seemingly contradictory images reconcile each other in our lives as believers and followers of God?” 3. In regard to Hebrews 6, impossible to renew to repentance. Can you help me understand what that means? Do we take it at face value? I am trying to figure this out for about a year now. I feel like this portion of Scripture really describes me and my eternal destiny is at stake and I can’t get the answer to this. And it seems from experience that sometimes we see people leave the faith and then come back. Who is this describing and how can you know if you are in this state? 4. Why do so many Christians suffer while lots of people who don’t know the Lord or don’t care are successful and experience blessing?

When Will Christ Return?
Episode 616 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com 1. Why does Paul say that those who have faith are children of Abraham when Hebrews says Jesus mediates a better covenant than the old one? These seem to me like two opposing attitudes toward the Old Testament. How can I make sense of this? 2. I am a believer, and I’m wondering whether I should have a traditional burial or if I can get cremated when I die? Cremation is much cheaper than a traditional burial, but I know someday I will be resurrected. Will God be angry at me for taking the cheaper option financially? I don’t have an answer when I pray. 3. Approximately when do you think Christ will return? 4. I accepted Jesus many years ago, but I still sin. How will I make it to heaven when I still sin? What if I am not close enough to God? What if I don’t read my Bible and pray enough? Or have enough good works? 5. Episode 426 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com Key questions answered in today’s show: 1. Thank you for being so pastoral in your answers. Regarding the coronavirus, what are some ways that your churches have used technology to encourage one another as local gatherings are shut down? I know of video meetings, but are there any other creative ways your flock is caring for another using technology? Blessings. 2. A buddy of mine is struggling with his faith, doubt, and agnosticism, but he also has Christian tattoos . How should I talk to him? He knows what the Bible says, but he grew up in a family that taught him the science behind why life exists. 3. Do you believe that all Christians are filled with the Spirit or do we need to seek the filling of the Spirit after we become believers? 4. How do we pray? The Bible talks about being close with Christ. Jesus says, “come to me those who are weary or come to me and I’ll open the door” but nowhere in the Bible does anyone pray to Jesus or talk about praying to Jesus. We are to pray in his name. How do we have a relationship with Christ if we are not praying to him? 5. How do we know we are going to heaven when we die? How do I know my mom made it to heaven when she died?
