Starting of 2022 on the Right Foot: John 6 and Acts 4
Tomorrow I will be doing responses to critiques so I wanted to start off the year with a more positive presentation based upon going in-depth into the Scriptures, something I know most in our audience really enjoys and benefits from. The Work After Dobbs, Lots of Church History, Nicea, and More.
Started off, sort of necessarily, looking at the Dobbs decision and the fall out, looking back on my own work in that area since 1989. Then moved to the vicious circularity of the Confessional Bibliology position, and moved from there into a lengthy discussion of the Council of Nicea, and then to an attempt to define the Great Tradition. The I Am Sayings of Jesus as an Example of Exegesis and Hermeneutics
Today we did a Road Trip DL in the rain up here in Colorado, focusing upon the I Am sayings of Jesus and using them as an example of what believing, exegesis looks like in contrast with modern methods, or the supposedly superior “pre-modern” method seen in Scholasticism, etc. Tomorrow we will be doing on “Open Zoom” program with your questions!
