Road Trip Dividing Line: Eric Holmberg’s Conversion Syndrome, Joel Beeke on the KJV

Part of me says I shouldn’t post this, but I figure those who don’t like me will use anything anyway, so why not give them something fun? This morning I did a Calvinist ride. It didn’t start out that way, but hey, it must have been predestined. I was originally focused on doing the steepest, toughest climbs I know of

Thoughts On Faithfulness in an Uncertain Future
James White, January 20, 2022January 20, 2022, Christian Worldview, Godly Disciplines, Musings, Personal, Road Trip, Technology, The Dividing Line, Theology Matters We did the program from the Mobile Command Center today as a means of testing things out before I hit the road this weekend. I also wanted to test a touch screen we have obtained that should allow me to do mot of what I do on the Flip Board in the Big Studio, but while traveling. And it worked! But then I started preaching to myself, really, and wandered through an entire discussion about faithfulness in these trying and confusing days. About 60% through the program I started talking to the homeschool kids, really all our kids, but especially those kids, about how blessed they, and how they need to understand the blessings they are receiving. If you have such kids, you might want to find that part. Sometimes having someone else’s voice helps to get the message through! Our next program will be coming from on the road, either from somewhere in Texas, or around Oklahoma City, Lord willing! Prayers for traveling safety appreciated!

Road Trip Two: WLC and Adam, the Baptism Debates Rage On
James White, September 25, 2021September 25, 2021, Church History, Debate, Federal Vision, Reformed Apologetics, Reformed Baptist Issues, Road Trip, The Dividing Line We chose to record today’s DL just in case the connection went wonky and broke up. But, it didn’t, and we managed to get about 70 minutes in today, mainly on two topics (with a brief trip report at the start). First, we discussed William Lane Craig, his views on Adam, and why this is pretty much just par for the course given the long interaction we have had with Dr. Craig’s foundational positions. Then we addressed the baptism debate, raging yet once again due to Jared Longshore’s departure from Founders due to his embracing of paedobaptism. Hopefully balanced and useful observations of the key issues in the debate, at least as the debate rages between Presbyterians and Reformed Baptists. I think that debate is very, very different than the debate with, for example, Lutherans on the same topic.
